Common now, be a little tough on yourself this time! Lala land is far from reality. There is never going to be a certification course on how to stop procrastinating. 

Why do you take up tasks only when the situation has gotten worse? & when you do take up the task, it’s like a big mental tornado to complete it & guess what, one by one every task that you wanted to do you delay it by telling yourself the same story that I was not able to do it today, maybe I should start all over again tomorrow. Then tomorrow you again tell yourself the same story.  It’s time to raise your standards.

1. Overcome Your Fears

Most of the time you don’t procrastinate because you are lazy, you do it because you presume the outcome to be unsuccessful without even trying it. Without even challenging yourself.

What you want is instant gratification, instant results. You want to run a marathon, but you only want to run for 2 km & expect to win the race?

Your desire to succeed should be much greater than the fear of failure.

Sometimes you will not know what is happening, you will not know how to do it, sometimes you wouldn’t know the reason why you are doing it, but you gotta take that leap of faith. 

The sense of achievement of at least giving it a try rather than giving up is a far satisfactory feeling you will experience when you go back to bed today.

2. Stop Blaming External Situations

Money or other people will not solve the problem. Don’t look for solutions outside of your environment. Solution lies within you, in your environment.

You need to fix this broken mindset. The only way to avoid this part is to take action. Small action every single day.

The thing is, once you start taking action, your belief will just get stronger & stronger day by day.

In order to break a habit you need to be a different person, you can’t be the same person & expect things to change the situation. So start being an action taker.

When you change things in you, you will start to see change in your situations. 

3. Have An Accountability Partner

As cliche it may sound, the fact is because you are not ready to take accountability for your actions, you need an accountability partner. A partner you know who is going to make sure, if you don’t do the work required, it’s your loss. You are not even making a dent of a difference in to this world of 7+ Billion people

What matters is your self respect.

So call up that person now!! Say what you ought to achieve & give him/her clear instructions that if you don’t complete the task, they have to remind you & hold you accountable in whatever capacity possible. Common now, be a little tough on yourself now! 

4. You Don’t Need Motivation, You Need Clarity!!

Find purpose, not excuses. Knowing why you are doing is the biggest strength you can have.

A soldier on the battlefield knows that if he doesn’t kill the enemy, the enemy will kill him. Period!!

If you don’t develop yourself, don’t come out of your old habits, you will continue  to drown into this spiral of procrastination, like a snowball effect. 

So stop looking for motivation in videos or materialistic things, stop looking for answers you already know, stop looking for things to get right. You are wasting your energy & killing time. 

How to find clarity? 

1. Eliminate unnecessary choices in life, they are a distraction. 

2. Just keep at it, you will never know what will click! Keep trying new things. Just enjoy the process. You got nothing to lose!

& if you already know what you want to do & while you procrastinate on your tasks, let me tell you something. 

If you don’t respect what you do, your work, soon nobody will respect you for what you are. 

5. Whatever It Takes!

You can’t be in the middle of a herd. Either you should be on the lowest end, so that you can grow substantially or you should be on the leading front, so that you can help others grow with you. You can’t be in the middle, nobody recognises people who are average. 

Every single day when you get out of bed remind yourself, you have to be successful, whatever it takes. Because there is no other option. Living to kill time is only a waste of space in this world. You just can’t go back to your comfort zone time & again. Successful people are waiting for you on top of the ladder to hold your hand & take you to the next level. 

Whatever it takes. Take action today. Choose faith not fear. Thank me later!
